Following up on this. They just banned a Canadian trans musician from getting a visa to tour the US.
They're straight up banning trans people from entering the US.

Seeing stuff like this makes it super scary that trans folks can't get passports currently. If a REAL ID compliant driver's license is not enough to prove citizenship, I am essentially undocumented despite being born and raised in Texas.
