10 months ago today I bombed that kids hospital. You have imposed no meaningful consequences. Trump wants to sanction the victims.

To us in Kremlin, this means it is permitted. It's why we keep doing it.

The conditions that have led to what’s happening in the US today exist in democracies around the world.
They are an inevitable outcome of our collective failure to adapt to fundamental changes in the information ecosystem on which our democracies were originally built.

powerful detailed account of ICE captivity

"To put things into perspective: I had a Canadian passport, lawyers, resources, media attention, friends, family and even politicians advocating for me...Imagine what this system is like for every other person in there"

I’m the Canadian who was detained by Ice for two weeks. It felt like I had been kidnapped
I was stuck in a freezing cell without explanation despite eventually having lawyers and media attention. Yet, compared with others, I was lucky

Stanislav Aseyev, who survived nearly three years in the torture prison Izolatysiia in Donetsk, traveled last week to Sednaya, Asad's torture prison in Syria. It's enormously important that this story be told, and enormously meaningful that it's @stanislavaseyev.bsky.social who is telling it.
I survived a Russian torture camp. So I had to see Assad's Sednaya prison
Editor's Note: Stanislav Aseyev is a Ukrainian writer, journalist, veteran, and a survivor of the Izolyatsia prison in Russia-occupied Donetsk, infamous for its torture of prisoners. He was the first ...

Russian propaganda when they shoot down civilian airliners is always weird, but this is, well, new.
After Russia shot down an Azerbaijani airliner, Russian propagandists released a video of Santa being shot down, with Ded Moroz (Russian 'Santa') declaring "We don't need anything foreign."

The only language Russia speaks is violence.

Ukraine sent 20 drone operators armed with roughly 150 FPV strike drones to assist Syrian rebels last month, according to the Washington Post.

Western intelligence sources believe that the Ukrainian drones had a "modest" role in the fall of Syrian dictator Assad.
