American billionaire Stephen Schwarzman, founder of Blackstone & owner of the 2,500-acre Conholt Park shooting estate in Wiltshire, has been tankering in huge quantities of water from drought-struck Hampshire to fill up his lake (legally, but outrageously):

Big changes planned for Liverpool Street Station 🚉

A proposal would see part of the station replaced with a 90-storey tower. But there’s a better way.

With a sensitive, phased scheme, Liverpool Street could be upgraded while keeping its unique character👉 casework.jcnas.org.uk/appl/206882

REVEALED: only 5% of Forestry Commission grants for woodland creation have been spent on the natural regeneration of trees, while the remaining 95% is spent on tree planting.

The government needs to change the rules.

Even under the most liberal of popes, the Catholic Church failed to acknowledge its history of tyranny, torture, misogyny, enslavement and colonialism. It's time for honesty. I wrote this in 2013 about the impending canonisation of the genocidaire Junipero Serra.

Breaking news! @sportengland.bsky.social's #ActiveLivesSurvey shows that walking for leisure has increased by 6.8%. That's over 3 million adults in England who are walking more! But there’s clearly a need for safer, more pleasant streets, as fewer people are walking for travel. 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

It's hard to get your head around the scale of the environmental vandalism the Labour government is hoping to unleash. The Planning and Infrastructure Bill is up there with Trump's executive orders. And the reason is the same: corporate power.

Today, water bills are rising on average by £123.

Water companies will flood you with PR, claiming it’s for investment. Don’t be fooled.

We've already paid for it for the last 35 years-they used it to pay out dividends & fuel debt.

We’re paying twice for an abhorrent service.

Of the 60+ small/family farms I’ve been planting with I can’t think of a single one that would get hit with Inheritance Tax.

Most are nowhere near cutoff, and many are wrapped in a Ltd company anyway.
