how about “Israel provides outrageous justification for killing our freelancer and 19 others, saying they were targeting one single camera.”
They have changed their story a bit, but still don't call it outrageous nonsense to justify double tap war crime on a hospital killing reporters and medical staff and injured civilians

Everytime I revisit Frank Pé's work, I'm reminded precisely why he's one of my favorite cartoonists.

Look at this man.

on the one hand we should want people to change their mind so we can stop what's happening now. On the other hand there need to be costs for the ghoulish behavior that got us here, as these people absolutely will do this again given half a chance

All Superman actors *will* forever pale in comparison to Christopher Reeve, but in no way that has anything to do with whether or not their Superman smiles on-screen, or whatever.

The Eternaut (Oesterheld/Breccia) is one of the greatest comics ever created. It was created in a time of rising political dictatorship and its author was “disappeared” a few years later.

I beg you to go and read it. It is the last story on earth that should have gotten the AI slop treatment.
Netflix boss Ted Sarandos says they used generative AI for the first time to cut costs on their sci-fi show 'The Eternaut'

"AI represents an incredible opportunity to help creators make films and series better — not just cheaper"

...did the MORTAL KOMBAT movie make money? Like, of all the things that made *some* money, but not enough for the studio that they promptly cut its plans short, *that* wasn't one of 'em?

the media is letting us down. when they go along with the bullshit of the tech industry, they actively mislead the public ensuring they don’t actually understand how new technology works and what the real pros and cons are as a result.

SUPERMAN (2025): I don't know why Ultraman is in this movie, and I think James Gunn should work with a female co-writer more often.
