people will speak about a game they played as a kid with the same reverence that they might a great song or novel, about how it engrossed them totally and completely. They may even tear up talking about it. and then you ask what game it was and it was Spongebob battle for bikini bottom

The remote work debate was funny because it forced the question "Is a job something valuable you do or is it a place you go to be watched like daycare" and the answer for a lot of them was yeah it's the daycare thing now come on inside recess is over

People can see people on Bluesky. Following an account means you’re shown their posts. That’s it.

It really is that simple.

Algorithms are the enemy of genuine engagement. Doesn’t matter how many people are on FB or Twitter when an automated gatekeeper has built walls around them.
There has been some debate over whether bluesky is good for game promotion or whether actual consumers are here. As a test, last week we did two posts with mid-level performance - one from the company account, one from mine - and got ~900 wishlists. There was no other promo elsewhere. Pretty solid.

Holy cow final fantasy 14 is great, I have put so much time into it already. Such a beautiful art style and world, fantastic story, the gameplay is even fun (surprising since being hotbar combat), i get why MMOs absorb people now if it clicks with them. Definitely worth trying out! #MMO #videogames

TikTok wasn't never something I used regularly but the fact that a social media site got removed because all the big companies don't like it sucks, it was a community & culture of it's own, now it's just gone. People are gonna flock to right wing controlled sites. Misinformation about to get worse 🙄

We need to bring 10in vertical monitors into the mainstream, i wanna see ultra wide 32:10. With a default size of 16:10. The extra space is so great for games and I just wish it was more available dammit

Can we stop making live action remakes of everything and start making muppet remakes of every film and musical

I wish I grew up with 4X and RTS games way more then I did. For me they feel like such a learning curve and hard to get to grips with. Probably gonna try and get into one again soon because so many of them have really kickass settings...and some I've spent too much money on for barely playing lol

Man, I should've guessed it was coming at some point, but I was hoping Dreamworks wasn't just going to do live action remakes. It's pretty ironic the studio made to stick it to Disney, is just following their lead instead. Corporations at their finest.

While I love watching the yearly game awards show, it really isn't what it's supposed to be. The fact that it's mostly new trailers/reveals & only paying minimal respect to gaming culture of that year sucks. The fact that the Oscars does a better job then the game awards, tells you somethings wrong

Rewatched Up for the first time in 10 years & dispite some minor gripes, it still holds up! I really love the theme with Carl's character about moving on & there joy in life even after losing someone. Ended up resonating with the movie more now then when released. Go watch if it's been a while

People who plays games (especially single player games) and immediately mute the in game always breaks my brain, game music can sometimes make or break a games vibes and Atmosphere, like at least give the OSTs a chance.
