The emotions overflowed for Trinity Rodman following the Washington Spirit's 1-0 defeat to Gotham FC in the #NWSL Championship final. Tears were shed, as she said she "definitely underperformed." Obviously more to the defeat than her performance, but it still cut deep.

Gotham's season was up/down, but the highs brought trophies: First Concacaf and now the #NWSL Championship, a 2nd in 3 years. This is team has mastered the art of knockout soccer, rising to the occasion in big moments. Rose Lavelle did that on Saturday.

Gotham's season was up/down, but the highs brought trophies: First Concacaf and now the #NWSL Championship, a 2nd in 3 years. This is team has mastered the art of knockout soccer, rising to the occasion in big moments. Rose Lavelle did that on Saturday.
Ball is round and does funny things. I have a high appreciation for the numbers and tendencies. Sometimes, things happen.
Gotham winning a title on the back of a playoff -1.42 expected goal differential feels like a direct shot at all of us nerds.

You cannot debate/argue/negotiate with a party that no sympathy for disadvantaged people. No matter how low the polls go, the Republicans have shown they don't care about people. It's our duty as voters to vote them out of office and elect people who will get stuff done. 1/2
Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

Maybe the project is now a failure, amirite?
The absences were a problem, but that loss is ultimately on Vlatko Andonovski. Insanely passive tactical setup that did not give the players they *did* have the ability to control the match from the first whistle.
