In the 150min Demon Slayer, you feel the pain of them going there again and again (the 9th flashback in a row) and “am I watching a lecture on what martial art is”. The entire movie was trying to maintain an evenly high intensity level, which, is like someone highlighting every word of a thick book.

I read a literature fiction—Rental House. Quite good. A Chinese woman (consulting firm) and White man (professor) couple met at Yale. Story was about two vacations where both family went. She migrated at 4 to US and he was the only one that got out Ohio. Fun dynamics on both sets of parents

Yesterday, the State Dept took yet another anti-immigrant action. It stopped the helpful policy of allowing individuals to apply for visa stamps at any US consular post in the world rather than just in their home country. Effective immediately, that policy is over. travel.state.gov/content/trav...

“The CDC you knew is over,” the infectious diseases doctor told The Advocate. “Unless someone takes radical action, there is nothing there that can be salvaged.”

RFK Jr, when asked about the dismissal of CDC director Susan Monarez, says fixing the institution "will require getting rid of some people".

He cites the CDC website listing "abortion", "fluoridation" and "vaccinees" amongst top medical accomplishments as evidence of the CDC's problems.

This. This. This.

We need a lot more faculty to take this step: prioritize organizing to defend higher ed.

Higher ed isn't going to defend itself. Writing a really angry letter or signing a petition won't either.

You need to join @aaup.org & start organizing w/ us to build political power.
