Uh oh, it's "order your favorite Star Wars" -o'clock on the internet. So, here we go:

1. Any movie you want to watch with me.
2. Any show you want to watch with me.
3. Any meal that is vaguely Star Wars themed.
4. E.T.

I had a student who, instead of starting an email with "Good evening" said "Good night" and it was very disorienting.

Don't forget that Zohran Mamdani spent his entire campaign standing proudly beside the trans community. He went to trans rights rallies just to show support. He proudly waved trans rights flags without hesitation. He refused to back down in support of trans rights. That makes me happy.

Reminder that Airwolf was actually one of the hardest writing projects ever seen on TV
they also had to invent a new enemy every week who could only be defeated by a helicopter but was not serious enough to warrant actual planes and let me tell you thats one of the hardest tightropes any writer has ever had to walk
For people who don't know what Airwolf was, it was Knight Rider but with a helicopter and every week the writers had to figure out a reason for Jan Michael Vincent and Ernest Borgnine to use a military helicopter in the Arizona desert

It was cool seeing EA follow the rules of JRPGs and reach its third and final evil form (Saudi owned private company).

This animated film is from the studio Ánima, written, directed and performed by Latinx creators. Eager to watch it this weekend. Check it out on HBO Max (or purchase a copy to support the studios involved).

Hey gang throughout the US. Walmart screwed me with my pre-order, so if any of you see the "Superman: Steelbook Edition" in the wild, let me know. I'll send ya funds for sure.

I would love to be part of the conversation on MSNBC related to the Kimmel story and it's chilling effects on first amendment, but unfortunately I was terminated by MSNBC for stating that "hateful thoughts lead to hateful words which lead to hateful actions".

I spent my birthday as most do in mid-life: doing the same things I normally do, only with cake.

Thanks to my friends who came to game. Here's to creeping uncomfortably close to the next aging milestone.

It's been a lot of fun watching John Cena and Dave Bautista grow from wrestling icons to genuinely wonderful actors, showing an incredible range. I know wrestling takes a baseline level of theatrical performance, but these two have leapt to be some of the best.

The first time Charlie Chaplin used his voice in a film, he wielded it to forcefully condemn the rising forces of fascism around the globe. Will we listen to his words today?

I like that I'm seeing a number of people realizing that "Superman is a firefighter, not a cop." It's a great way to understand the role of power in heroics and how powerful people in the real world should aspire to be.

During the first Trump administration, "Ted Lasso" became a huge hit, in part because it tonally felt like a 'cultural salve.'

Now, during Trump's second, Superman seems the same. Desperate for hope and a better tomorrow, we cling to (fictional) people who can inspire us to be better.

Superman is a socialist hero created by two Jewish kids who had him beat up corrupt cops and politicians. His greatest enemy is a billionaire who can’t stand there is something in the world he cannot own or control. His greatest power is that he is kind. He is the greatest character ever created.
