Swearing in isn’t some ceremony. You aren’t a member of Congress until it happens. He knows that.

No phones, no staff, nothing.

I had to escort her into the Capitol on Wed bc Capitol police must treat her as a public visitor until she’s sworn in. And solo visitors aren’t allowed during shutdown!
Johnson: "Grijalva should be working for her constituents right now. I don't know what she's doing. I keep seeing their political stunt videos. She should be in her office. She should be working or in the district for her constituents" (Grijalva is not in fact a Rep. b/c Johnson refuses to seat her)

A nationwide backlash to AI data centers is brewing.

And for good reason: while AI enriches Big Tech CEOs and props up the stock market, data centers are sucking up communities’ water and power.

When the AI bubble bursts, the rest of us will be stuck holding the bag. Be warned.

Remember the dot com bubble? This might be worse.

Make sure you know what you’re invested in, just in case. When a big enough bubble bursts and cause a recession, the rich benefit off the backs of working people.

Be smart. Boycott. Don’t let the billionaires win.

This will likely be the only time I mention this:

I have started a GoFundMe! I am planning on making mead, with the potential of spinning it up into its own business; I figured that making a few gallons in my apartment would be a good place to learn.

The link is: www.gofundme.com/f/start-home...

Let’s be clear: Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans forced a government shutdown tonight.

Rather than address the health care crisis that they created just earlier this year, they refuse to come to the table and do their jobs.

What happened to the art of the deal?

He’s right to say it, and he’s right to say it *now*.

But this isn’t doomerism. Trump has not already stolen the 2026 elections. He has not already consolidated power. He couldn’t even get a comedian fired. We can, and therefore must, continue to exercise our rights defiantly.
Pritzker: "One of the reasons Trump wants to send troops into cities is bc he wants to be able to take control of the 2026 elections...if they've got troops in cities, & it becomes a kind of norm for people, then it won't be abnormal for them when they're going to vote having troops at ballot boxes"

There is no better time to meet a neighbor, to build community, to bridge divides.

No one likes the state of our country. No one likes what Trump and the ultra-wealthy are doing to tear us apart. No one wants an oligarchy or dictatorship.

We’re all in this together.

“Your enemy isn’t across; your enemy is up.”

We’ve been divided for too long. The rich and elite continue to drive wedges between us so they can gain even more power and wealth.

We cannot do this anymore. We the people must unite, in peace and solidarity with one another, for the sake of America.
Truth bomb‼️

This man should be the one speaking on college campuses…

“They’re planning for us to turn on each other and make this culture war a civil war. I am begging you, please, for the love of God, for the love of our neighbors… do not take the bait.”

Watch JD Vance's audition as Trump's replacement, preparing for when he and the gang of techno-fascist billionaires backing him—*cough* Peter Thiel *cough*—destroy America, carve it up, and then purchase the broken pieces for cents on the dollar so they can rule over tech-enabled dystopian kingdoms.
In a Hitleresque speech, JD Vance says there can be no unity with the left and vows to use the government to dismantle non-profit NGOs and liberal civil society who he says promote violence and terrorism.

The belief that poverty and homelessness are about "individual choices" didn't arise on its own. It was manufactured through decades of messaging designed to protect the policies and interests that create mass precarity.

As this new poll shows, that propaganda campaign has been wildly successful.

Turns out the job market was never strong. The BLS is deleting up to 1M imaginary jobs. We hallucinated a recovery, hiked rates into it and now trump’s tariffs get to finish the job. Who needs hard numbers when delusion and denial help prop up Wall Street?
US job growth through March expected to be revised down sharply
The level of U.S. employment for the 12 months through March could be slashed by as many as one million jobs when the government publishes its preliminary nonfarm payrolls benchmark estimate on Tuesday, economists predicted.
