So Wolff could have tanked Trump’s 2016 campaign and didn’t because Epstein said nah?
NEW: A week before Donald Trump surged past Hillary Clinton to win the presidency, author Michael Wolff approached Jeffrey Epstein with a proposal to "finish" Trump's candidacy.

"Interested?" Wolff wrote.

Epstein, apparently, declined.

ICE just arrested Brad Lander, the NYC Comptroller and one of the leading candidates for Mayor, without grounds.

He was conducting routine immigration court work, escorting individuals from hearings.

He asked ICE for their warrant - well within his legal rights.

This is political intimidation.
Whoa! NYC mayoral candidate and current city Comptroller Brad Lander seemingly arrested at the NYC immigration court while attending to escort someone attending their hearing.
Lander just got detained by federal agents as he tried to escort a man out of the courtroom. Lander was taken in an elevator with masked agents, along with one member of his NYPD security detail.

Zohran Mamdani, who recently cross-endorsed with Lander, called for the comptroller’s immediate release. “This is fascism and all New Yorkers must speak in one voice,” said Mamdani.

Importantly, these are *civil* actions under the Privacy Act of 1974, i.e. individuals can file suit and Trump can’t pardon defendants.
Giving access to SSNs, other data on government employees to non-employees like Musk is a violation of 5 USC 552a, and carries with it a penalty of $1000 per person whose data was accessed. We are building a case. Govt employees who want to participate should contact me directly

I went to my Congressman's local office today. First off, they were surprised that I was there. They said they had been getting phone calls, but I was the first walk-in. That said, the phones were not ringing off the hook. If the DC phone lines are busy, try calling the local office.

"Trump is demanding protection money. Pay him, and you won’t be subject to the president using the weight of the federal government to wreck your company. Pay him, and you won’t be subject to ceaseless frivolous litigation filed in Trump-friendly courts."
Trump's mobster media shakedowns
Nice company you have there. Would be a shame if something happened to it.

REAGAN: “Our peaceful trading partners are not our enemies; they are our allies… beware of demagogues ready to declare a trade war against our friends—weakening our economy, national security, and the entire free world—while cynically waving the 🇺🇸 flag.”

Trump’s bad ideas are not new.

I always thought Elon Musk was the most dangerous man in America but I viewed him as a danger primarily in terms of his wealth and his disinformation power. I didn't realize he would pose an actual threat to our form of government, our national security, and our most sensitive personal data.
Sheesh.

I am thoroughly irked by this post.

The refinery fire referred to as “MAJOR BREAKING NEWS” and “currently underway” started yesterday & was contained overnight.

There’s a lot to be scared of rn… stop scaring people (like me, who lives nearby) with inaccurate information.

Here are the options on the table (which are not mutually exclusive):

1. House Dems bring articles of impeachment*

2. Senate Dems play constitutional hardball and obstruct everything

3. State AGs litigate (and prosecute) everything they can

4. Citizens march en mass

Just got off the phone with a medical provider who accepts Medicaid. Because they are shut out from the Medicaid portal, they might not be able to make payroll. They exclusively serve low-income Floridians.

PROP - PR Over Policy.

Don't confuse them.

He is flooding the zone. He knows that media will cover everything he does. Getting people upset. Which helps give him more coverage of the upset people. All just talking about him.

Dems need to be strategic.

Deleted after 20 minutes but this is the mindset.

It’s what is said in private among themselves.

This is how they think about the rest of the world.

No one is considered an ally.

There will be no discussion.
