I used to think Bush 2 was obviously worse (and I still think Trump's first term was not as bad as anything Bush 2 did) - but I think Trump's second term, especially the shutting down of USAID and who knows where this warmongering will now lead, has taken over and made him worst US Pres of my life.
rating presidents from best to worst is a bit of a mug’s game, but anyone who thinks that trump is *obviously* worse than GW Bush might consider what it was exactly that at least 100,000 Iraqi civilians died violent deaths for

You’re right. All the woman that have been using Tylenol should have the option to get an abortion. And to be safe, any woman that has taken in their life. Just been around it in general.

Hey God, ex-Christian here. Im still okay with my current service, but
my birthday is coming up and you know what would be great? It doesn’t even have to be on the day, but that would make it a big beautiful birthday. Anyways, maybe after I could start to think the whole believing thing over.

These are probably the lines from poetry that I most often quote in my life.
Mankind created, and for him
this world.
So farewell, hope; and with
hope farewell, fear;
Farewell, remorse! all good to
me is lost;
Evil, be thou my good; by thee
at least
Divided empire with Heaven's
King I hold,

A lot of small children struggle at a birthday party that isn’t theirs. It feels not fair that someone else is opening presents, getting sung to, and is the center of attention. But then we realize there are other people that have birthdays.

Trump took that lesson personally

Newsom on ICE action outside his presser: "It's pretty sick & pathetic. It's everything you know about Trump's America & the authoritarian tendencies of the president. Wake up, America. You will not have a country if he rigs this election. You will a president running for a third term. Mark my word"

It really is insane that a Star Wars spinoff show captured the current political moment better than literally any other piece of media.

"The media continues to cover politics as if it is still the 1990s. 'Both parties are basically center-right or center-left parties.' The journalism infrastructure in our country wants to pretend that that’s the world that we live in. The instinct is to treat everything politicians say as valid."

I'd love to get a counter factual machine that lets me see what would have happened to American conservatism if Obama had not been elected in 2008 and either a white male Dem or a Rep had instead. Would it be less wacky now? It's really really tempting to think so, but I'd love to be able to check.

This is absolutely incredible -- Kristi Noem repeatedly refuses to acknowledge that Trump brandished an doctored image of Abrego Garcia's tattoos, prompting Eric Swalwell to have a staffer of his brandish an image of them right in her face.

Totally dystopian.

There was a moment when movies (rather than novels) took over as the primary form of fiction in our culture.

At some point we’ll all need to admit that YouTube videos have taken the non-fiction mantle.

Looking back now. I think I became disillusioned with life when in 2001 as a six year old. I witnessed a great tragedy. You all know what im about to say.
The Spinosaurus kills the Trex in the first thirty minutes of JP3. It was a pain my little body couldnt hold. Sorrow unyielding.

Okay then 9/11
