When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

I am in downtown Los Angeles right now and it is completely surreal to hear that Trump is sending Marines here. We are listening to mariachi music. People have dogs. There are teenagers here. It is utterly and completely peaceful. Please tell your friends.

Mayor Karen Bass disputes president’s claim as she thanks local law enforcement for dealing with unrest following immigration crackdown President Trump has praised the efforts of the national guard in calming the protests in Los Angeles, despite the city’s mayor saying troops have yet to arrive. In a post on his social media platform TruthSocial, Trump said: Great job by the National Guard in Los Angeles after two days of violence, clashes and unrest. We have an incompetent Governor (Newscum) and Mayor (Bass) who were, as usual (just look at how they handled the fires, and now their VERY SLOW PERMITTING disaster. Federal permitting is complete!), unable to to handle the task. These Radical Left protests, by instigators and often paid troublemakers, will NOT BE TOLERATED. Also, from now on, MASKS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to be worn at protests. What do these people have to hide, and why??? Again, thank you to the National Guard for a job well done!” Continue reading...

Kind of thought refusing to release innocent people while simultaneously continuing to pardon guilty people might cause a bigger stir in the press.

Even though Republicans control the White House, the Senate and the House, we are still facing a government shutdown because the GOP can't get its act together. Losing NOAA would be devastating. Project 2025 authors want to get rid of it because it monitors climate change, and privatize the information it currently provides for free, so you'll have to buy information about the weather and the winds (imperative for mariners).

The House Introduces Bill to Ban Abortion Nationwide.

Remember when Trump said he wasn’t going to implement a total abortion ban? Yeah, well here’s the bill proposing a nationwide abortion ban.

Just another egregious LIE to add to the long list of lies from this corrupt administration.

It’s far too soon to ascribe responsibility for the horrific DC plane collision, but it’s not too soon to say that dismantling the safeguards afforded by a functioning federal government put us at significant risk. And it’s irrefutable that, since January 20th, we are all less safe.
