Camera movement has existed longer than we might think, with pans becoming common in the 1900s.
Early filmmakers also simulated movement. This 1908 fairy tale THE GRATEFUL LITTLE MICE gives the illusion of a zoom by pulling the performers and prop book toward the camera. It's nearly seamless.

Besides Jones on organ and Cropper on guitar, Booker T. and the MGs featured Lewie Steinberg on bass guitar and Al Jackson Jr. on drums (Donald “Duck” Dunn eventually replacing Steinberg on bass).
