Last week I was biking downtown and was stopped at a stop light. A car slows to a stop next to me - the driver is already on her phone. She didn't look up once, and was still on her phone when the light turned green and she drove off. Absolutely incredible stuff.
Looking at the driver next to me staring at her phone and wondering whether she'll put it down or not when the light turns green.

I used to dread winter because of the driving. Now I enjoy it because of the biking. Better infrastructure and maintenance would allow more people to experience the benefits of winter biking and make our streets safer for everyone.
