While I plan a wedding, I love how businesses love to make me seem unhinged for having the nerve to question charges on a quote and alter things to reduce costs.

Happy Thursday, sky folk. Looking for a good resource on tuning jdbc I/O tasks and data flow params for a beam migration pipeline I'm working on. I've tried all the obvious things, but it still takes about 2 hours on something I think shouldn't. Also already checked DB settings, locks and such. 😔

If you manage people, you HAVE to be able to have uncomfortable conversations about performance. If you’re unwilling, you’re not only doing a disservice to the person that reports to you, but the entire team and those they interact with.
It’s uncomfortable but practice makes good (not perfect lol)

If you’ve been to Fiji, would you recommend it? I’m worried it’s going to be a long flight just to see more pretty beaches (I’ve seen a ton). I enjoy more adventure and unique experiences.

Flight attendant saw my fiancé and I wiping down our plane seats and said “Tuh. That’s your best bet.” That in combo with a nurse telling us tma new surge of sickness has been springing up lets me know I need to stay on top of all my health precautions even if it’s summer.
