I made a video essay explaining why, in my view, Israel is committing genocide under international law. I hope this helps frame the issue a little bit better and explain why there is a consensus among academics that this is indeed a genocide. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmCl...

Israel's blockade of food and humanitarian aid entering Gaza has caused catastrophic mass starvation and death.

By continuing to supply Israel with military aid, the U.S. is complicit in this bloodbath.

There's no moral clarity in wreaking vengeance on innocent people.

This is all so incredibly racist and white nationalist and everyone is going about like it's all perfectly normal.

Also, when you listen to the Deputy Secretary of State, you realize what a mistake it was to stop calling these people weird. Because this is a guy I would not allow near my kid.
Q: There are many people who fit the criteria of fleeing persecution. Afghans for example. But they're being denied refugee status. So why such an exception for the Afrikaners?

I learned this week that you can put our troops' lives in danger, compromise our national security, and violate the Espionage Act. And the government will do nothing.

But if you write an editorial for your school newspaper that Trump doesn't like, you will be abducted on the street and disappeared.

NEW: The actions of Trump and Vance in recent weeks highlight something under-appreciated.

The American right is now ideologically closer to countries like Russia, Turkey and in some senses China, than to the rest of the west (even the conservative west).

Humanitarian aid must get into #Gaza, regardless of any ceasefire. International humanitarian law & ICJ rulings are crystal clear.

Israel keeps violating both, with impunity.

Starving 2 million people is not a negotiation tactic. It’s a war crime.

If the legitimate press just permanently stopped attending these events and were replaced by propaganda outlets, that would be both optically clarifying and improve actual journalism.
Consider the possibility that the Trump White House WANTS this fight. Wants journalists to act like opponents instead of observers. If the entire press pool skipped a Trump photo op in solidarity with The AP, wouldn't the White House welcome Breitbart and One America News to take their places?
And, are you or your colleagues boycotting covering the WH as a protest?
