i don’t know the answer to this and i don’t think anyone on bluesky does, either, but i have wondered more than once in the last few days whether they actually (sincerely) expected to be successful. hamas anticipating that they’d be stopped — and then that not happening — would explain a lot.

The Washington Commanders are the worst franchise in professional sports. Everyone responsible for tonight’s fiasco should be fired at halftime, the stadium should be imploded, and the ground beneath it should be salted so that nothing ever grows there again.
