1. In a serious escalation, the state of Ohio has now banned medicaid and other funding for any mental health services that affirm or promote social transition.

We killed the amendment. Giving MAGA the vote they wanted on at the surprise moment of their choosing would not have advanced the interests of trans people. I agree we shouldn’t play games with trans people’s lives — that’s why I called out the Boston Globe for the misleading headline.
