If you're one of the dozens of film/media studies folks I just followed, I'm not an academic (although I'm a permanent ABD in French literature 😂) and not a film expert. But I did consider becoming a film critic before I took another path and love old movies. 🎬

Something I don't need is someone (a scammer maybe?) who DMs me because they supposedly need a translator and when I ask what kind of text, they tell me, "This is literally a translation of scanned pages, firstly you will have to retype then translate." 🤦 Byeeeee

It would be so great if you could RT my Etsy shop in the twoots below/above. My🌲 jewellery orders usually make up a significant part of my income at this time of yr but the X exodus has meant I’ve only received 1 order-pretty scary income-wise. A small boost would help so much. Thankyou🌿

Hurricane Beryl went through on Monday. My power was off for 72 hours, but other than being hot 🥵 (and worrying about losing work if the laptop died), I was fine, the cat was fine, and the house was fine. A section of fence blew down, but it's old, so no surprise there. I was pretty lucky.

An English teaching company wants to know if I can provide documentation about how many hours were involved in my TEFL certificate training in 2001. 🤦 It's a miracle I have the certificate. I most certainly do not have documentation.

I disappeared after my mom passed away in December, but I miss the updates from people who have moved to France, cats, and people who have moved to France & have cats (and dogs). So hi, everyone! All 50 of you. 😂

I've been sick for 10 days & I'm rapidly reaching the I'll-try-anything stage. 2 nights ago it was salt water up the nose; tonight it's Vicks Vaporub. If things aren't better by Monday, I may try leeches or a poultice. 🤧
