Hard not to notice that this is describing a landscape where public aid is pretty brutally means tested, and thus it's very, very difficult to climb out of the trap of housing/childcare/healthcare if you aren't supremely lucky

Hard not to notice that this is describing a landscape where public aid is pretty brutally means tested, and thus it's very, very difficult to climb out of the trap of housing/childcare/healthcare if you aren't supremely lucky

So THIS! I often pass on alcohol for the simple reason that I don’t drink at all when driving. I’ve had people decide I must be pregnant, must be a recovering alcoholic, must have had some bad experience. Nope…just don’t have a big tolerance and want to be responsible. Doesn’t have to be a THING. 🙄
