It’s strange how much we hold onto from childhood.

When I started deconstructing, I realized most of it was just unlearning. Letting go of the stuff that was put on top of who I actually was. And underneath all of that, I started to find the kid I used to be.

The only thing "uniting" this govt is their determination to lie to us for as long as they can.

Unless you can prove that's what they're doing and then they'll cost us hundreds of millions in cancelled contracts because they got busted.

“Mostly, however, it’s concerning that they aren’t listening to people who should be able to get through to them; their voters and supporters in rural Alberta.
If they don’t have any sway with the UCP, then I think it’s important to ask who does.”

Are Danielle Smith and the UCP even listening to Albertans?
A lot of things don't add up with this government and I think it's time to ask some hard questions.

Someone shared that they were shown my #Jesus Eraser cartoon in church and asked what it said to them. A little five-year-old guy shot his hand up and said, “he’s rubbing out the lines and letting the love in”. I just loved that. ❤️

Carney did what most leaders won’t: acknowledge disabled Canadians. But praise isn’t policy. Provinces keep dropping the ball, and Ottawa needs a national standard so people who can’t work aren’t left to die. Dignity shouldn’t be a postcode perk. I’m looking at you, Doug. #IDPD
On this International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we recognise Canadians with disabilities whose advocacy, leadership, and resilience have helped build a fairer Canada.

Together, we'll keep building a stronger, more inclusive country for all.

* you are not alone
* this, too, shall pass
* keep writing because someone needs your story
* keep writing because you love the craft
* you have survived 100% of the times that felt impossible
* art is rebellion
* art feeds your soul

I think this is actually the most ethical choice the UCP has made.

The Alberta Next Panel was a partisan exercise dressed up as public engagement. Not forcing public service professionals to lie about that was a good thing.

everything obviously wrong with this is obvious, of course, but I’m also struck by like ….. the terror of the silence of your own mind?? humans have prayed, contemplated, meditated in the search for wisdom (whether inner or divine) for our whole history. an app can’t meditate FOR you!

This piece is about the quiet courage of saying,
“No. I’m okay right here.” 🧡

Here’s someone — maybe me, maybe you — at the moment of choice. Choosing not to join the crowd. The pressure to fall in line is real. Tempting.

But it dulls our minds, closes our hearts, and chips away at who we are.

As a member of a union currently bargaining with the gov't (HSAA) this is troubling on many levels. Taking away teachers' right to strike is a move that should never happen.

I hope the broader labour movement is ready to flex their collective influence. I don't want my own right to strike removed.

Calling the use of the Notwithstanding clause a "moral imperative"...

That's a hell of a way to define a legacy and not at all foreboding rhetoric.

What a gift to become affirming before a loved one comes out.

What a gift to myself in my own asexuality journey to not once question if God loves me as I am.

What a gift to give one who isn't yet out—for them to know that you affirm the Imago Dei within their queer self.

I’m pleased to see them make note at the top of the page that Tylenol (acetaminophen) is perfectly safe for pregnant women.

I've been shocked & horrified by how derisively the student's off-topic question was shut down on Monday it's been sitting heavy with me this week

After appropriately redirecting the student, moderator Bruce McAllister followed it up with a statement full of flippant contempt
