Newmarket MP Matt Hancock gave a £37bn Covid testing contract to Jockey Club director Dido Harding, who subcontracted it to Grand National sponsor Randox, employer of Tory MP Owen Paterson, whose late wife chaired Aintree racecourse. That's how the Tories handled the pandemic.

I hope every Labour MP considering whether to support Shabana Mahmood's asylum plans remembers Nigel Farage's assessment that the “Home Secretary sounds like a Reform supporter.”

If they support them they will too.

Farage dictated government policy under the Conservatives.

Now he's dictating government policy under Labour.

When will the UK get a political leader with the courage to stand up to this aristo-populist demagogue?

The fact that Kemi Badenoch supports these proposed Labour immigration policies tells me everything I need to know. Labour seem to be bending over backwards trying to win favour with a few right wing voters, and in doing so they run a real risk of losing most of their core supporters

Labour MP Brian Leishman: "The Government has surrendered to... the vile rhetoric of Reform. Does the Home Secretary not see that removing the legal obligation to support asylum seekers who will be otherwise destitute, is as far away from Labour Party principles and values as we can get?"

Nowhere in the hysterical pile-on against the BBC in the British press has anyone mentioned that BBC News now has 77 million viewers & listeners in the US and has established itself as the second most trusted news source there.

I DEMAND Panorama IMMEDIATELY produces a documentary showing Kamala Harris not instigating a violent riot, not sexually assaulting anyone, or getting fined for denying it, or being found guilty of business fraud, or f*cking a porn star AND accepting the result of an election.
You know. For balance.

Been a Villa season ticket holder for all of my adult life and love my fellow Villa fans, but I was really disappointed tonight hearing some of them singing the name of Yaxley Lennon. From what I saw, the pro-Palestine protest was peaceful and trouble only started when the Tommy supporters arrived

Also notable that the Tories are on 7% with people under-50. In fifth place. And only 4 points above the SNP in sixth (who obviously only stand in Scotland).
Notable in today's YouGov that the centre/left bloc - Lab/Green/LD/SNP are on 54%. With Reform/Tories on 43%. That's the biggest differential in a long time.

I think useful to track blocs given instability between parties at the moment.

In summary:

The hateful Charlie Kirk was shot by the acolyte of a more hateful version of Charlie Kirk.

It wasn’t any of the imaginary bogeymen they were hoping for.

Just a case of them slowly drowning in their own hate.

Why in this Mandelson saga are we ignoring the elephant in the room? That we’re about to welcome and honour a man who was a great pal of Epstein and who continues to lie about that every day?

So either Nigel Farage lied about buying a house in Clacton, when he wanted to pretend he gave a shit about the place, or he lied about it being his girlfriend's house, when he was caught avoiding stamp duty. Either way he's a lying chancer.

It's no surprise that Nigel Farage hardly ever bothers to visit Clacton or turn up at Parliament. When he was an MEP, his attendance record was 748th out of 751. He's a workshy grifting gobshite.

This 'Reform are inevitable' narrative is rubbish. Fewer than a quarter of voters think they'd do a good job. Almost all their policies are hated. Their leader isn't liked. Even when the focus is on migration most reputable polls give them only a small overall majority.

Again, after the coverage of Reform's conference these last couple of days, it can not be stressed enough what the choice is at the next GE. Fascism or stopping Fascism. That's it. Sorry folks, everything else is small change in comparison.
The next election will be one of the most consequential of my lifetime. There is a real danger we blunder into electing a far right government and all that will flow from that. Very dark days if we do. I wish people would start to take this seriously. Your pet issues are of nothing compared to that.

Lucy Connolly was convicted of inciting racial hatred, and her tweet was part of the tinder that lit violence, intimidation, looting, and thuggery across England last year.

The fact Reform conference gave her a standing ovation says everything about that movement.

Etc. etc.

Votes won't be stripped away from Reform by trashing them.
