Grok would elon win baseball contest with Shohei Ohtani

Grok: Shohei has some accolades but Elon’s experience managing world class companies give him the edge. After all, what is pitching and hitting compared to conquering space?

Grok will Elon kiss human woman

Grok: look it’s complicated

My grandfather made this charming drawing and gave it to his daughter (my aunt) long ago (1950?) in Dayton, Ohio; he was a cranky but sensitive and witty guy :)

This is a new format for NYT opinion but I think I like it. Not sure if things will change if I do come back, but I can see they want to drive engagement

As a young idiot art student studying in Rome Mel Bochner hired me out of the blue to execute one of his pieces for installation in a museum in Torino, at the Lingotto. He was a generous and great man. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/21/a...
Mel Bochner, Conceptual Artist Who Played With Language, Dies at 84
His early work made use of unexpected materials like pennies and masking tape. Later, he created trenchant word paintings that provoked and delighted.

It's cool how simply listing the things that happened in the federal government over the weekend makes you sound clinically insane

also I can’t believe it’s called DOGE, we’ve normalized so much but it would be like if a gigantic historic thing bringing about constitutional crises were called like “You Done Goofed Institute of Cash Me Outside.”

When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Take inspiration from it.

We will see what happens but the whole “GOP voters will learn their lesson the hard way thing” is cutting against a media environment, including the right wing one, that primes its viewers to blame someone or some thing else
