Today a coworker told me that he's always hated #UnrealEngine's comment movement behavior.
He hates Group Movement, I love it.
And we clash sometimes working on blueprints.
Yes, we know [Shift] disables group movement. But it can be annoying.
So I made a plugin today to fix for us both.

a friend of mine who's worked on a somewhat recent free multiplayer game says this about player feedback that I feel like is very astute

hearing the feedback is frequently important but responding to it well almost never means just doing what the players say they want

We've been working on #Supraworld for over 3 years!
This is an Early Access Release. We've got a year or two yet until the full release. Act 1 is ready to play now!

I'm so excited for players to get Supraworld, I believe it is the best, and most unique puzzle game out there.

Here's a peak of the game we've been working on for the last three years!

I watched Tarzan with my kids…. I think it was my first viewing.

Peak fantasy movie.
Great soundtrack.

Click Click Bomb is live on Steam - 15 achievements, cloud saves, sort of mostly works on steam deck! it's been a very rewarding experience learning how to self publish to steam, and I'm already working on my next game.

Click Click Bomb on Steam
A Giant Bomb inspired clicker-incremental game with unlockables and gimmicks to discover. A casual experience, best enjoyed on a second screen at work. Features moreish Match 3-esque mechanics.

Twitter went from the site of cat supremacy to white…. Real quick.

The craziest part about twitter hiding likes, is that they stopped showing posts people-you-follow liked.

I have multiple tweets which have only been liked by Tim Sweeney... who has hundreds of thousands of followers.

Bluesky did not do any better... 0 engagement.

#UnrealEngine's Verse language needs a one-to-one visual editor.

Visual Scripting is incredible:
- Unlike with code, it is difficult to make syntax and grammar errors in visual editors.
- Execution flow laid out spatially makes reading/writing/debugging intuitive.

Casual glances miss
signs of virtue's bliss.

Seekers find
this...

Useless moon of signs,
honesty hidden below.
The prize — to know,
truth is hewn in minds.

Shader stutters in your game, how do you fix them??

We made a live stream, an article, and a blog post to get into the nitty-gritty: dev.epicgames.com/community/le...

But that's a lot of text and video, just follow these takeaways from the end of the article 👇 #uetips

I don't want to hear one fucking word criticizing House Democrats this evening.

Every damned one of them voted against this piece of shit bill except for the one who's undergoing CANCER TREATMENT.

Now it's time to tattoo this vote onto the foreheads of all 217 Republicans who voted for it.
Every Democrat who is in DC returned in time to vote against the bill (the lone NV is Rep. Grijalva, who is fighting cancer). The vote shenanigans did not make the difference in the end, Dems made sure they all got to vote.

Your anger is best direct at the people who actually do the bad things!

By my lights Consciousness has to be some form of panpsychism (including possibly neutral monism).

Maybe Idealism, but there’s no structure there.

I can’t buy dualism as it implies some sort of biological receiver in our brains.

Illusionism is self-defeating.

In #UnrealEngine 5.5 Folders in plugins now have a special icon.... the thing is.....
All our content is in plugins 😅

I might try out that plugin which lets you set your own icons.

git merging is so dumb.
I know its a lot to ask for, but has anyone come up with a merge that understands the concept of scope?

I know its a rabbit hole for the diff/merge to be able to parse grammar... and need to know to even do that.

Give me an IDE that splits functions into their own files.

Consider what it would take to change your mind.
Compare it to the robustness of reasons you hold your current view.
Would your reasons be convincing to someone uninformed on the topic? Should they be?

Snowballing and carrying a match in #LeagueOfLegends is a drug and should be regulated by the FDA.

Seen too many friends pop off once and then spiral out of control trying to get that fix.

Friends don’t let friends try python as their first programming language.
I’ve talked to so many people who have programmer-mindsets but aren’t programmers. I ask them why they don’t program, or if they’ve tried.
They say “I tried programming but it was too confusing/difficult”
I ask “what language?”
They always say “Python”

Please save future devs, recommend C# or Java.
If you're recommending #programming languages to beginners, always advise against Javascript, Python and BASIC.

Beginners should always learn statically-typed & compiled languages, with a GUI IDE.

Do not sentence new programmers to debugging hell.
