@seattledot.bsky.social there was a modal filter which prevents cars from driving across Terry through Denny removed during the Denny repaving. It helps protect pedestrians. Is it going to be replaced?

Vision Zero means cancelling all physical speed control infrastructure and all stop signs on a corridor where there were two hit and run crashes in the last three weekends.
Seattle Parks has finally broken the silence on phase 2 of planned traffic calming on Lake Washington Boulevard...and has officially dropped ANY additional speed cushions from the plan, along with a redesign of the intersection at S Orcas Street to improve pedestrian safety.

Seattle Parks held a public forum in December to hear public feedback on the next stage of traffic calming for Lake Washington Boulevard. These are basic, minimum-level changes on a street where the city knows everyone is speeding.

What happened next is: nothing.
