Naive heuristic : avoiding gadgets or services (free or not) that increase inequality by design, through technology or business model or both, would be a good starting point.

Finished this & it's so damning how Disney Parks operate very similarly to the way many tech companies operate now: here's a big, deceptive demonstration that we likely know we won't ship to customers, or even if we do, there's zero assurances it'll be as promised or be supported in the long term.
So you made a robot stand up and talk... now what? In this over 4-hour journey, Kevin follows the promise of Disney's Living Character Initiative, an effort to populate Disney theme parks with free-roaming, interactive beings. It was touted as the future. How's it going? Watch here: bit.ly/49C6vng

Total repeat of crypto : sure BitCoin could have been a tool to emancipate from big banks or fintech. It could have been a proper cryptoanarchist dream. Really.

Interoperability between self-hosted services

FLOSS self-hosting is honestly on-par functionality-wise with proprietary solutions. The ONE thing that I feel is often missing is integration which relies on interoperability.

How do YOU it?

You know your paradigm is right when you see something new, genuinely unexpected, and think : "I could replicate that in a very short time".

A paradigm is powerful not when it can do everything you want but rather when it can also support things you didn't even know you wanted.

Per directory dot file based spatial configuration.

You want to enter a directory in XR and the layout to match your workflow? Sure, just save the file in there, however you want, so directories and files appear just where you want them to.

Spatial autoenv, kind of.

Here are my debugging scripts that I use for my previous demo. They are very useful. It not only helps test math and the correctness of algorithms quickly, but also forces you to decouple key systems of your app from each other to make it work.

Damn... didn't expect this to work : made a directory available via WebDAV, here the sources of the Ada & Zangemann children's book from @fsfe.org (available at git.fsfe.org/FSFE/ada-zan... ) and browse in VR.

Some details to iron out but overall worked well!
