A bunch of men are hanging out in a giant hole with a sign pointing to it labelled "HOLE." They see a new hole with a sign labelled "NEW HOLE." One points to it and says "Hey look! Bluesky isn’t anywhere near as dead as the detractors claim.

But it does have its quiet periods. Whole expanses of 30-40 minutes where nothing new shows up on my feed.

And you know what? I like that. It’s a good encouragement to, ya know, look up, and… do… other things.
