It was straw work class last week. The round basket (not mine) was made in the 1970s. Look at the quality of bundling and stitching. The oval baskets are mine, one bere, one oat straw. I prefer to work with bere barley straw. In the past bere straw was as useful as the grain. 🏺 🪡 #straw #baskets

Good news for the future of UK agriculture
Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Steve Reed MP has just announced at The Oxford Farming Conference that secondary legislation to implement the Precision Breeding Act (for plants) will be introduced to Parliament by the end of March 2025.
