My gift to Bakkfity (over on Tumblr) for the CLS Winter Exchange 2025 -jazz hands- Featuring her Cora!Lives AU where Cora's been in Impel Down this whole time #coralaw #コラロ
A five paneled comic page. 1.) Inside the halls of Impel Down, Trafalgar Law (pre-timeskip) stands, looking on as prisoners rush around him, running towards escape. He grips Kikoku firmly in his hand as, off screen, a voice calls out his voice, first uncertain before repeating confidently. 2.) Law turns towards the voice, confusion on his face. Law: "Huh?" 3.) A very tall prisoner with long blond hair is running towards Law, waving his arms around to get his attention. His hair covers up his eyes, but he smiles widely with a tooth missing. His arms are bare, covered in numerous scars. Prisoner: "It's really you!! Law!! Bless the seas!!" 4.) Law does not recognize the prisoner and now has an expression of awkward shock and exasperation. Law: "Who in the hell?..." 5.) Law's free hand goes to the handle of Kikoku, beginning to draw her from her sheath. A six paneled comic page. 1.) A close up of the prisoner's shoe getting caught on an uneven stone of the floor, causing him to trip. 2.) A close up of the prisoner's face in reaction, eyes now visible and wide in surprise as they let out an 'eh?'. 3.) Law has summoned a small Room around himself and the prisoner, drawing out Kikoku in full to slash the prisoner in half, right at the hips, his legs continuing to trip and his upper half falling towards Law with the continued momentum. The prisoner seems surprised, but not too upset at this. 4.) Law pauses in slow motion now that he's seen the prisoner much closer, paired with the clumsy nature and blond hair, he mumbles a "...wait" as he thinks of Cora-san's habit of tripping frequently. 5.) As it finally dawns on Law, his eyes go wide and teary as he shouts. Law: "CORA-SAN?!!" 6.) Donquixote Rosinante, no longer with his hair covering his eyes and still with a smile just as wide as before, cries openly and calls back in a confirming tone. Cora: "LAW!!"

YUP. I'll never forget how common posts deliberately targeting teens to reform them with things like "This thing you like is inherently evil & bad" which was always a trojan horse for anti-inclusive/trans/queer rhetoric. This is why people need to take OL recruitment with disinformation seriously.🧵

I really wish people would stop using slop to just mean 'thing I don't like' or 'stuff that is part of a trend'.

Neither of those are inherently worthy of being called slop. You really gotta earn that title by being low-quality, low effort products of greed and laziness.

Now that's Winter, I'm thinking about NEWSLETTER. But I haven't written anything for one yet...

Right now, my energy is going towards preparing Chapter 5 for localization. The translation process begins next week. We have extracted all the English text and we are now annotating it.
