As if there was any doubt how they would’ve handled it
Now we know how National would have handled the Covid pandemic. The 20,000 we saved would be dead.

Was not one comment from the opposition benches sought for this piece?

My recall of such news under the last government would be endless reporting of the opposition flooding the zone to get their digs in.

It is about. Goddamn. Time. someone published this; it’s also obscene that political and financial reporters and editors run with the same household analogies day after day, budget after budget. It’s either lying or deeply, absurdly ignorant
"The Government knows there’s nothing similar between household borrowing and government borrowing. But it also knows that you don’t know that. (Because no one ever explains this properly.) So why use this metaphor if it’s so misleading?"

Every street needs a binfluencer.
Some kind organised person puts their rubbish and recycling or glass and seems to actually know what their doing. Everyone waits until they've put it out then we all follow.

We don't actually talk to each other. Good god man.

Quite aside from anything else, it is frankly WILD for ministers or associate ministers to be micromanaging the work of ministries in this way.
From cellphones in schools, to speed limits, to precise wording on websites this is NOT how government is supposed to work, no matter who is in power.

I’m seething at how bad the new quizmaster is at my weekly pub quiz. I just can’t get over how inept you can be to have not worked out a system yet. Arrrgh. Really ruins my life.
