Today we won a big victory in Texas but the fight for democracy is not over. We all need to steel ourselves for the battles ahead. We won't win them all, but we can never lose sight of what we need to do to prepare fee and fair elections.

This the first visit to the US for Mohammed since the 2018 murder of Jamal Khashoggi, a contributing columnist to The Post and an outspoken critic of the Saudi government. Trump in his first term shielded Mohammed from scrutiny after the CIA concluded that he ordered Khashoggi’s assassination.

It was “NO” yesterday.
It’s “NO” today.
And it’ll be “NO” when it gets to the House.

I’m not voting for something that forces millions of Americans to choose between seeing a doctor and putting food on their table.

What a bunch of bullshit — voting to reopen the government based on a ‘promise’ to talk about the ACA at a later date? Unbelievable. Does anyone really think we can trust Republicans to operate in good faith? They don’t care about us & you can’t trust a word they say. Infuriating and embarrassing.

The lesson of history is that tyrants cannot be appeased.

Appeasement only feeds their insatiable hunger for power.

Tyrants prey on people who feel unsafe and vulnerable.

But without mass submission, a tyrant is powerless.

Remember this.

That’s a lot of firepower to stop small vessels carrying drugs.

It looks a lot more like preparation for war.

Congress needs to get involved before it’s too late.
