In light of the Levy Review potentially giving transphobes oversight of medical research on trans healthcare, Trans Safety Network recommend English trans people OPT OUT of their healthcare data being used in research.

Information on how to do this can be found in the quoted post and thread.

Bridget Phillipson knew her history, was told by MPs not to appoint her, insisted on appointing her, and in her first interview the Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission has ignored super clear and explicit human rights law that trans people are not a third sex. What a disgrace.

Running around with their hair on fire

2025 is ending better than it started for trans people.

The nonsensical FWS Supreme Court Judgment on 16 April 2025 was definitely a low point, both for trans people and the UK judiciary.

Excellent journalism from my colleague Xander Elliards, looking at the Sandie Peggie verdict and which parts of haven't received much media attention.

From Peggie harassing Dr Upton, to racist jokes and her evidence being deemed "not credible", there is a LOT.

An important point to come out of the Sandie Peggie case is that 'gender critical' employees can't take matters into their own hands and confront trans employees. If they do that it is likely to be harassment/ bullying/ a hate incident.

We've written & published a short summary statement regarding the Sandie Peggie V NHS Fife Health Board employment tribunal case & the judgment given yesterday. Much of the media coverage has missed key information, the most important aspect being that all claims against Dr Beth Upton were dismissed

Mini thread on the ET decision in Peggie

Top line: It says exactly what we have been saying for months. The decision of the Supreme Court was not to turn the Equality Act 2010 into a nationwide bathroom ban - regardless of how anti-trans organisations have sought to misrepresent the law.

If your choice is between an existential risk to your organisation, vs being a fascist collaborator, and you make the difficult choice to be a collaborator...

...then you are still a collaborator.
Like, I'm sorry the fascists are giving you difficult choices. But that's what fascists fucking do. The only legit answer is "fuck you make me". The only answer that shows you have actual fucking principles not preferences is "fuck you make me". And that sucks. But here we are.

We're watching the wholesale burning of every scrap of dignity afforded to trans people in the UK, their rights, their medical services, their employment, their place within society, their bodily functions.

It is a disgrace, and a disgusting stain on the government and media of this country.

The very important point that, to make their “case”, transphobes have to lie about what the Supreme Court actually said, and do lie about it, every day, and the government and media colludes in their lying.
Ridiculous, both from the EHRC and the guardian reporting.

www.theguardian.com/world/2025/n...

The Supreme Court did not rule that "the legal definition of a woman is based on biological sex"

The judgement itself makes this clear:
