The Class Maledictorian at 21. This was also my online dating photo in law school.

Nightmare fuel from a former SCOTUS clerk:
“We hold that the Colorado legislature has the unreviewable right to determine how its elections are held, and it has delegated the question of who is on its ballot to the state courts.”

Anyone know how to block posts with a name in alt-text?
the obsession with being “allowed” to say this particular racial slur is fascinating because it is a glimpse into the bottomless entitlement of these people. they must have everything without any social opprobrium attached! anything less is an injustice to them.
Wake up babe, new christian baby just dropped.

I’ve been wondering how, even IF he didn’t get jailed, Bibi expected to not get assassinated by the family of a 10/7 victim as he walks the streets of Tel Aviv and this is the answer.
Out of office he'd very likely be tried and convicted and jailed. He spent a lot of his youth in Philadelphia, so it's not impossible that he'd flee to the U.S. and join the American Enterprise Institute.

It me, but about Harry Houdini at a child’s birthday party.
you: please act normal Ed you need these people to like you

me: no problem

people: hi Ed nice to meet you

me: early NASA astronauts weren't short in order to fit into the capsules; short people with more compact bodies have a physiological advantage at enduring G-forces without passing out

As a society we lost something when it no longer became polite to be like "these are cocaine thoughts. this man is saying cocaine things to say. maybe he didn't just do a gigantic line of blow but he's speaking and acting in the exact same way someone who had would be"
I’m going to file this one under “big, if true”

Thinking of the older gentleman in the Lake District who curiously inquired as to the disparate strands of my spouse’s identity, glanced left, then dismissively declared “and YOU look very Scottish.”

We watched some of this for professional ethics class (Harvard!) and hearing the leads complain about the tyranny of a 1200 hour billable requirement sort of undercut its credibility.

Stochastic terrorism via kiwifarms tactics is going to be the next big thing for the alt-right. Any public figure (i.e. on Libs of TikTok) is going to be outed for anything they ever did online and some things they didn’t.

Does anyone publish alumni indictment statistics for law schools? Sounds like it would be a more fun ranking to look at than U.S. News and World Report's lists.

I’ve taken up leatherworking, as knitting is hell on my fingers and hammering feels good. But the knitter’s ethos of “cast on and see how it goes” is not really applicable. More of a carpentry “measure twice, cut once” sort of deal.

just a reminder: don't assume other people know how you feel about them, even/especially if they're long time friends or partners. Tell them. Tell them often. Remind them and don't let them question your feelings by being so outspoken about it that there is no room in anxiety filled brains for doubt
