I try to be rly visible & vocal when it comes to masking and it wrecks me every time I get responses from ppl who are thankful bc they feel so isolated and alone bc otherwise caring folks won’t do the bare minimum & wear a mask—reposted this old, but relevant read. Plz read & consider masking again.

“But the people who died had preexisting conditions.” So what? Does that mean their lives didn’t matter? Does that mean they weren’t important? Disabled people can hear you when you excuse our deaths. Our lives have value.

we fixed acid rain! we fixed the ozone layer! we beat polio! we’ve rescued scores of species from the brink of extinction! the despair many of us feel about climate change isn’t that it’s too big to fix. it’s that we know it is fixable but we’re being thwarted by greedy ghouls at every turn.
