This, is Bugalugs! From last month
I have 3 other pet woolly bears, but they’re all hibernating outside under a tarp right now… 😭 I miss them!

I’ve decided to take up the hobby of keeping woollies, and I’m excited to share that journey here

Plumeria caterpillars (Pseudosphinx tetrio) feed on Plumeria & other Apocynaceae. They look bad-ass aposematic, but it may be false advertising. Some research shows that they excrete, rather than sequester, the toxins of the host plant. #TeamMoth #Apocynaceae #Aposematism #Botany 🌾🧪🌱

They are ubiquitous in my neighborhood!! They cover entire branches of sidewalk oak trees. I rarely see the adults but they are gorgeous in both forms!
