People with trauma histories often interpret neutral cues as negative.
"You can come if you want." sounds to them like the person doesn't actually want them to come.
Affirming that you want them there helps remove any doubts.

Officer Michael Fanone was almost beaten to death by Trump's insurrectionist foot soldiers.
He has been relentlessly attacked by Trump and his MAGA trolls for speaking out.
He's right... America is exceptionally fucked up

By all means keep them together and continue the work. If Canada becomes the hot spot for medical advances then sobeit. Maybe they'll return when the US jails everyone in Washington (and beyond) who's currently working against our people

I responded quickly that I was glad this wasn't coming out, as it's so late and these autopsies are almost always terrible.

Yet Greg—who does so much good reporting that it's impossible to keep up with it all— is dead on that we need an accounting of Future Forward's execution.
A big reason this is bad is it could let the Future Forward Super PAC escape any accountability for the 2024 loss. It had hundreds of millions of dollars in donor money, and the DNC report was reportedly going to fault them. Now this will remain undisclosed:

It’s scientifically and ethically wrong to say, “It’s too late to stop climate change.”

At Project Drawdown, we will never give up.
The climate headwinds have felt stronger and uniquely destructive this year. However, at Project Drawdown, we are NOT slowing down our work on climate solutions - we are stepping up in a big way.

There is no scientific or ethical reason to stop fighting for the future! 💚 if you agree!

Jack Smith, in his opening statement to House Judiciary, says:

"Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election and to prevent the lawful transfer of power."

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion, after getting $1.2 trillion richer over the past year alone.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country is getting squeezed by tariffs and high prices for groceries, utilities, and health care.

Trump's economy.

I agree with all this — sick leave is essential to a healthy society. While we’re working on that, though, we need to make it a general norm that if you MUST be around others while sick, you wear a mask (preferably a good one).
3/ Isolation is important but only works if people can afford it. Many people simply can’t stay home when sick. Without meaningful sick pay, asking people to isolate is unrealistic. Better financial support is essential to reduce transmission.

I guess they've outgrown the little Arapahoe Rd airport. Or they've been protested out of it.

“When we’re talking about the values of our city, and we stand up here and we say time after time that we support our immigrant community and that we are a welcoming city — I cannot support a corporation that does not prescribe to that,” Council member Serena Gonzales-Gutierrez said.
Denver City Council voted against a resolution Monday that would have allowed Key Lime Air to lease ground space at Denver International Airport over concerns about the airline’s immigration enforcement flights in recent months.
