National Guardsmen now stationed outside our DC building confirmed that the only thing they can do if they witness a crime is call 911. The have no more authority than my office mate to intervene. Despite the handcuffs, they can't make arrests. They are very expensive mall cops.

My parents purchased a pedigreed puppy from a well-known breeder. It came with a packet warning them not to vaccinate their dog with language exactly matching anti-vax talking points, incl autism. Of course, within 5 years the dog was riddled with congenital diseases caused by inbreeding.

I keep getting shit when I share telegraph articles on Ukraine. I know it's a conservative pro-Brexit paper. But it has by far the best and most accurate coverage of the war. The Guardian's coverage of Ukraine has been complete shit. The NYT has sometimes published downright Russian propaganda.

Last night, Russian drones blew up my friend (and early WCK partner) Alex Beluga’s humanitarian warehouse in Zaporizhzhia. Thankfully nobody was hurt 🙏 but we lost 1000s of pounds of Hachiko pet food & supplies—incinerated by the blasts. Despite this, we won’t stop our work!😾

There have been a lot of cases where world leaders hated each other. Thatcher and Mitterrand. Obama and Netanyahu. Berlusconi and Chirac. All hated each other. But they all swallowed it to work together. Trump's inability to swallow his personal disdain of Zelensky underlines how unqualified he is.
