The Hachiko team visited Oleksandrivka, which was bombed by Russia yesterday for no reason. Residents are making repairs & grandma Olena takes care of 30 cats here. This white cat was concussed from the blasts and barely able to eat, so we are going to get her some help.

It’s getting cold in Ukraine 🥶 so we are building Hachiko shelters for homeless pets in frontline areas. Purina is sponsoring the first 30, along with 200 carriers we can give families for evacuations. If you want to help build more shelters, donate at hachikofoundation.org 🙏

This is the Catholic Church in Gaza City ⛪️ You can still see the burn scars from the bomb that hit in July. Father Gabriel’s parish takes care of thousands of Gazan families around here, so we have been delivering fresh vegetables, milk, and tarps to fix tents.

The homeless cats are very excited this morning as Denis arrived to refill the Hachiko feeding station in Chornobaivka 😻 This is next to the destroyed Kherson airport, and we have to move fast to avoid Russian drones.

At last some good humanitarian news with "BringKidsBackUA" giving details of more children and (now) young adults rescued from occupied areas of Ukraine.

3 years ago today, Kherson was liberated & my friend Alex sent me this photo. He was commanding an assault brigade pushing invading forces back—the bravest there are. Russians murdered him last year in Odesa, but we will never forget his dedication in the fight for freedom. 💛💙

Watch the Ukrainian cats come running after the Hachiko team refilled the feeding station in Pyatykhatky, a town not far from where Russia blew up the Nova Kakhovka dam. 🐈 🐈⬛ This area was previously occupied and remains dangerous for residents.

The 🇺🇦 Food Train 🚂 had a visitor today! Grateful to the Ukrainian Railways team for their non-stop courageous work. The train is still cooking thousands of meals every day, often under fire in the Kharkiv region. The Iron People are unbreakable.

Today the Hachiko team is in Cherkask, eastern 🇺🇦—these tiny kittens were found at Tetiana’s gate sick & exhausted. We provided ear & eye drops, flea & tick treatment, deworming tablets, and nutritious paste for kittens. Now the little ones are in safe hands and a warm home. 🙏😻

The Ukrainian Food Train 🚂 has now cooked & served over 2.5 million meals! The team was recently up in the Sumy region where Russian missiles damaged power & heating. Thanks to the State Emergency Services for helping hand out hot meals to residents! 🙏⛑️

Pirate here lost his leg during Russian occupation, so he’s still skeptical of people. But he always comes to greet the Hachiko team when we deliver food to his village. Ukrainian dogs & cats have seen the worst, yet remain so kind.

Today in Gaza City, we delivered 1,000 fresh produce kits to the Holy Family Catholic Church, where Father Gabriel Romanelli and his parish support thousands of displaced families. Tomorrow we’ll be back with tarps & shelter material.

This Ukrainian family had 5 Corgis but only 3 survived after Russians bombed their house in Yampil. They escaped, walking 35km to Sloviansk, where our Hachiko team provided food for the pups. We will keep helping and also bring them dog houses.

The leaves are turning 🍂 and it’s getting cold in eastern Ukraine, so the Hachiko team is out making sure the feeders are filled & the cats displaced by war and living in the skeletons of buildings have food today. 😺

Last night, Russian drones hit the home of our Hachiko co-founders Katya & Sergey. The main house survived, but the dog houses & garage all burned. Miraculously, their dogs are alive 🙏 and being treated at the vet for shock. Please keep them in your thoughts today. 💛💙
