Right-wing parents want complete and utter control over their children. Public schools allow children to be their own person and engage with others (un)like them, supported by trained professionals. Therefore, public schools must go. Add some racism, sexism, and homophobia, and bam, you have it.

It is so deeply satisfying to find cute clothes at Goodwill. Like, my husband and I bought 8 things and a reusable bag for $35 today(!).

Today, I finished a book and a painting and found one of my favorite rings I thought I lost. The painting is hideous and no one else will ever see it, but I still feel accomplished, lol.

I marked last night’s lunar festivities by pulling my favorite oracle cards, Woodland Wardens, and staring at the moon in appreciation, lol. I could not stay awake for the eclipse, but that’s okay. Ritual can be that simple 🤍.

I think about this from @naomiaklein.bsky.social a lot. "Conspiracy theorists get the facts wrong but often get the feelings right." The sense that people are gaining wealth from human suffering while concealing reality is valid, but the root problem isn't evil people but the nature of capitalism.
