Now maybe people will read Mahmood's books— which helped me develop my politics in the first place
Zohran breaks a weird streak in American politics, in that he is the child of a foreign-born radical professor but has not become a centrist

It's really funny, in a sad way, how the mystical leftist shit inevitably degenerates into blood and soil herrenvolk shit with hippie aesthetics.
As with RFK Jr. and the crunchy granolas, also with the 'ancestral trauma' mystic bullshit.

Still not sure when she moved there but as you can see, it was in her ancestral DNA to seek it out.

LLMs are a great tool for letting you kind of do something you don't know how to do. the problem is that knowledge of whether it is a good idea to half-ass something is highly correlated with knowledge of how to do the thing correctly.
vibe coding is a technique for being a mediocre or bad engineer in areas where you are not actually an engineer at all and don't really know anything. so uh. if that's what you're trying to do it's stellar probably

a hot take about academia: it is both too activist and not activist enough. the endless focus on problematizing critiquing, etc etc often degenerates into navel gazing, while there is often a lack of high-quality outcome oriented empirical work on "what could make social institution XYZ work better"
