Split Fiction's Zoe and Mio don't make sense as writers, and the antagonist, Rader, doesn't make sense as a book publisher.
But imagine them as game designers, and Rader as a game publisher and it all slots into place.

My favorite games seem to always end up being something that is trying to say something true, difficult, or inspiring about people.
1000xRESIST does all of those things with an absolutely bonkers narrative mystery, and though I came to it late, it's 1000% my 2024 GOTY.
