Helene’s Cat 4 landfall gives the U.S. a record eight Cat 4 or Cat 5 Atlantic hurricane landfalls in the past eight years (2017-2024), seven of them being continental U.S. landfalls. That’s as many Cat 4 and 5 landfalls as occurred in the prior 57 years.

absolutely unhinged to me that every few months on Mac, I have to accept an xcode license to continue using GIT in the command line.
As far as I'm concerned, git is an unalienable right
& how much automation does this break? Suddenly a machine can't use any git command until a human sudo accepts??

While there's a bird in this one I think the green flash is pretty neat to see captured. There were a lot of people around and as the sun slipped down almost everyone paused to watch for the flash. After it was gone there were murmurs of 'did you see it?!' 'that was cool' and everyone resumed life.
