I have 214.6K followers, and I figure at least some of them are looking to gift books this holiday season, so:

HEY AUTHORS OF BLUESKY: In the comments to this post, tell us (briefly!) about your most recent book, and put in a link to where people can learn more and/or buy the book in question.

Go!

I wanna be @scalzi.com when I grow up.
Finally, a shirt that lets me proclaim, unashamed, my intense and almost overbearing sense of wanton masculinity, truly I am now the apex of all that is burly and manly and undeodorized in the world, just putting it on released a surging flood of testosterone that frightened the local birds and fish

Writers: yes, you are still a "real" writer if you
- have never published anything
- have no readers
- didn't write anything this month
- didn't write anything this year
- can't articulate words anymore
- can only float and mournfully wail
- were murdered ten years ago on this very spot

Zero reward for the white supremacist killer who murdered a teen in Manhattan the same day. Yeremi Colino does not matter to these people.

The secret to MY happy marriage:

1. Make sure your spouse knows every day how much you love, value and respect them

2. Don't do things that you would be ashamed to tell your spouse about

3. Be present for your spouse

4. Apologize when you do stupid things

5. Make them laugh when you can
What’s the secret to a happy marriage?

I'm not interested in being a scold shouting "murder is bad!" (half the world wouldn't believe I think that anyway), but I do want to point out that how we react to such events isn't just about what a murdered person deserves, but about how our own response shapes our experience, and changes us.
It’s not cool to celebrate someone’s death. Sure, Vlad the Impaler dipped his bread in the blood of his victims, but he was a human being who deserves our courtesy and respect

It's disheartening that in an age where knowledge has never been more accessible - the United States is about to be governed by an administration so primitive and ignorant as to believe that tariffs are good and that vaccines are bad.
