I feel like John Wick went this direction as well, and kind of lost the plot in the process.
it's interesting what happened to the Hell House LLC series. the first one was just a really efficient haunted house of a movie, one good scare after another. it did well and the screenwriter's eyes rolled back in his head and he started mumbling "more lore, more lore"

Now entering, honestly I have lost count, the 15th year? of begging my parents "for the love of god don't buy another HP all in one" when they complain about printer problems, only for them to buy another HP all in one.

As I am officially in the Fusion age I felt it would be proper to use fusion power, as well. Generating an appreciable 16A of ZPM to feed my newly upgraded supercapacitor.
It consumes more plasma (336l/s) than I generate (156/s) when charging, but so far my energy demand is low enough.

Its the top of the ninth inning, Jays are holding on to a lead with white knuckles, and my dad has gotten up from the couch to check what latitude Toronto is at, cause that matters?

The many monarchs of Europe, the slaver's Confederacy, the Kaiser, the Nazis, the Italian fascists, Imperial Japan and many more all assumed that because liberals value peace and human life, that they were weak and feckless and easily beaten.
Go look for them now.

I think fundamentally the problem with post liberal thinkers is that they seem to assume that vanquishing liberalism results in their enemies being converted or defeated and not becoming radicalized into enemies who no longer extend the mercies they once did.

Prop/rubber guns that are a solid block with no moving parts annoy the heck out of me.
The risk of CGI muzzle flashes is that prop firearms need haptic feedback to keep the actor from mouthing "bang bang" when they shoot

Disillusioned with national politics? Understandable, but don't disengage entirely! Take this lady running, unopposed, for reelection to the School Board in my parent's area. Imagine if there was even one opposing voice running against her and pushing back on her lunacy.

Forget "Give a peasant a cellphone and a dorito", I want to expose a wax tablet and abacus era royal court clerk to spreadsheet software and watch them shit a brick in excitement.

Ah, travel anxiety. Setting several alarms to be sure you're up, taking the time to triple check that everything is packed even while lamenting that pushes you back to the next bus. Hustle to the bus stop, hustle across the airport. Sit in the bag drop line. Only to be told:

I took an unnecessary shower simply because this hotel had a big rainfall showerhead mounted over 2m high.
The pressure was great, it was hot and steamy, I didn't have to bend or stoop over, and I am gloriously relaxed and pruny.

Okay but why does Liam Hemsworth as Geralt look more like Ryan Gosling in a wig, for a skit making fun of the Witcher on SNL.
Sorry Liam you just don't fit the role, in my mind. #witcher

While I cannot endorse using instant crystals to make coffee, these boiling water taps in the kitchen do make it easy.

To plagarize a post i saw the other day: milkshakes should be so thick I have to suck on the straw like its paying me. If I'm served a paper straw, that sucker should collapse under the suction.
Thin, watery excuses for milkshakes are an
embarrassment.

Explored the wonderful Perth Museum today, and was very pleased to see their modern take on the subject of museums and their collections.
Sad that such an approach would be branded as "woke" back home and derided.

"People weren't autistic in my day," says Dad over his trainset, circling a scale model of 1 district of Naples that he has been to every year since 1973
People say "autism never used to exist" and then you go to the Natural History Museum and the exhibit has a caption like "Born in 1762, The Revd [name] was famously irascible, steadfast in his routine, and dedicated his life to collecting 25,000 rare beetle specimens".
Fundamentally, the headbanging Right doesn't believe Autism (or ADHD) exists. Or in so far as it does exist, a human conspiracy has created it.
We're back to their core outlook that 'It didn't exist back in the good old days so can't exist now.'
'It must just be some modern woke Marxist nonsense'.
