If you're taking to the streets to protest, know your rights.
"KNOW YOUR PROTEST RIGHTS: You don't need a permit to protest in response to breaking news and you don't need a permit to march in the streets or along sidewalks, as long as you're not obstructing traffic or access to buildings. You have the right to photograph or film anything in plain view, including federal buildings and law enforcement, so long as you are not trespassing or violating a lawful order. You should not interfere with the actions of the government officials you are recording. If you believe your rights have been violated, when you can, write down everything you remember, get contact information for witnesses, and take photographs of any injuries. If you get stopped by the police, ask if you're free to go. If they say yes, calmly walk away. If you get arrested, you have a right to ask why. Otherwise, say you wish to remain silent and ask for a lawyer immediately. Don't sign, say or agree to anything without a lawyer present. I think a big fandom shift in interacting with stuff has gone from people commenting under the created thing whether it be fic or art to people linking it in private discord groups where the person who made it will never see any positive comments left on the thing they made.

everyone i know in minneapolis is seeing ICE take people—at gas stations, taquerias, bus stops, schools. just snatching random people.
#ICE is LITERALLY in every corner of the Twin Cities right now. In case you don't know, here are the areas with the confirmed sightings as of 1/9/26 at 11:00pm: - Apple Valley/Burnsville/Eagan - Richfield/Bloomington - Midway/Frogtown - Como/Dale - East side/Maplewood - North Minneapolis - Shoreview Arden Hills - Blaine - Columbia Heights - Shakopee/Prior Lake - Inver Grove Heights - West St. Paul - South Saint Paul - Lakeville - Brooklyn Park/Brooklyn Center PLEASE stay safe! They are detaining and harassing US citizens so if you can help it, STAY HOME! ICE is currently raiding an apartment complex near my home in Savage. Lots of children screaming. This is completely unnecessary. I'm certain these people being terrorized are hard working, law abiding individuals. &S!#% &S!#% My brother's construction site was raided by ICE this morning and 6 people were taken (they came after he left to a new site so he didn't get taken, but some of the crew did). MN companies need to do a better job at protecting their employees. They know ICE is present visibily in the Twin Cities so they need to not send their employees to work until ICE ain't roaming the streets!! &$!#% &S!#% Ice is on 24th right by the resource center just started beating on someone for being under a blanket @highlight And if you question me saying this I witnessed it with my own eyes! Accessibility is important, yes, but let's not forget that people have different levels of energy to provide them.

i think the accessibility features on bluesky are great but because i don't use the platform often, i always forget they're there. whenever i post my art, i post the same thing on all my socials at the same time, so it's a lot of copypasting.

having ocd is a nightmare and it's even worse when you're not on active treatment for it. it's like, you know something's up, you're ruminating on things on a significantly deeper level you need to pump the breaks but you're already changed in ways that feel irreversible.
