I really hope people advocating to ban kids from SM read this. Some kids are isolated by disabilities or circumstances. Furthermore, some kids grow up in abusive households. “Ideally, a child’s exposure to online worlds should be moderated by their parents” isn’t a reassuring sentiment for everyone

I honestly have a visceral negative reaction to Harry Potter stuff now.
If I see an adult with any kind of HP clothing, water bottle, bag, badges, whatever...it might as well be a swastika. It just puts me on guard.

Back on Twitter a friend of a friend took the idea and created a bespoke Trans Pride flag in this vein. The skull again represented impermanence, the hourglass is our fleeting lifetimes, the cup our HRT. A row of candles to remember those we've lost and the sword & spear protect who we hold dear.

I hate the term "torture porn" because it comes off like a moralizing value judgment, like a regurgitated "video nasties" moral panic that never took off, implying that people who enjoy such media are getting off on the suffering. It's not torture porn, it's called Taskmaster and it's art.
