I don't know what we need to do to stop the rise of fascism

But I think that if a bunch of people do what they think will help, eventually someone will find the right answer

So if you have an idea to try and help, go for it! We need lots of people trying lots of things if we're going to make it
No one should have any opinion on the Epstein Files act until they actually read the bill. It's not very long.

TypeScript is a psychology experiment designed to see if you can read "the JavaScript API you know and love, but with the safety of strong typing!" and get so distracted by how much you like strongly typed languages that you forget that you do not, in fact, neither know nor love the JavaScript API

charlie kirk died for what he believed in. in a very literal sense: he believed in a world where gun deaths are inevitable and the solution to problems is violence. he excused his own death years before it happened. and if anyone else had been killed he'd already be weaponizing and relativizing it.

I found this study on how people view AI, and it turns out the general public fucking hates it. Tech companies are spending so much money on something that most people don't like. It's all so dumb.

How the U.S. Public and AI Experts View Artificial Intelligence
These groups are far apart in their enthusiasm and predictions for AI, but both want more personal control and worry about too little regulation.

People imagine picking up and finding *something better* is an easy solution. But how is that supposed to work, when all your time and energy goes to staying alive? You have almost nothing to set aside to actually fight your way out.

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.
