I'm not one to kink shame anyone, but broadcasting your porn preferences for all of the US to see is maybe not the BEST idea. IDK

This phenomenon--that dysphoria drones on in the background and becomes more evident when being addressed--reminds me of the Rosa Luxemburg quote: "Those who do not move, do not notice their chains."
Also, for some of us, gender dysphoria was not easy to identify. It was just an all-pervasive pain that we got so used to living with that we weren't even aware of it until we transitioned, and could see it clearly for the first time, because we finally saw what life without that pain is like.

Before I started transitioning, I had a problem with my gender identity.
This quote from a #trans kid always stuck with me:
“If I seem anxious or depressed, it’s not because I have a problem with my gender identity. It’s because everyone else does.”

It is said those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. But what of those who suppress the past, distort it, sanitize it? They are not so blameless. A true warrior knows that hiding from the past is cowardice, but deliberately hiding the past is a grave dishonor.

I have an unpopular opinion. I am trans and I still think the following:
She was trans, and to strip everything away from her in order to make political hay out of her murder is disgusting. I see her as a child who was murdered. Anything else, for me, is immaterial. YMMV
