The Cold Moon was a very cold sight here, temperature around 5°F as it crawled up Crestone Peak. The fresh snow is glistening most beautifully in the moonlight tonight. (1/2)

Just after dark I spotted a hiker above treeline, below Columbia Point. This time of year that's not a great place to be and I was concerned enough to phone it in. Based on the hiker's lights during the descent it does appear they made it down safely.

Last night's #timelapse features two ionosphere holes (aka SpaceX Aurora) visible to the south. The first at 9:40pm 11/14, second at 1:18am 11/15. Also something burning (?) near Medano Pass (left of center). I've never recorded light up there.

I was up for a beautiful sunrise today.
I got to watch a kangaroo rat and juvenile magpie sparring / playing games. They both seemed afraid of (and also interested in) each other. My cameras were busy timelapsing so no video of their antics.
