My first album. I learned to play drums from this album!

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.

Tomorrow starts day one of working to throw the bums out in 2026!
So many predicted close races, which is understandable. But turnout favored the anti-kings…. And blew the predictions up. 2026, and 2028….. stand back and stand by

Traditional American politics is premised on the notion that sometimes you lose and sometimes you win and you have to deal with that.

But Trumpism is premised on the notion that any result where you don’t win is illegitimate, unlawful, fraud, criminal.

You can’t negotiate with people like that.

Populist Dems won. Moderate Dems won. We won in blue states. We won in purple states.

Maybe the take is that (a) people think Trump is out of control; and (b) people like Dems when we're taking a stand and fighting for what we believe in - as we have been for the last month.

So the United States has been lying to the courts.

Who knew and when did they know it?
BREAKING: Documents filed in court today assert that officials from El Salvador told the United Nations that it "facilitated the use of the Salvadoran prison infrastructure" by the U.S. but that "the jurisdiction and legal responsibility for these persons lie exclusively with the" U.S.

IDK, from the inside looking out, it's nicer. More daylight during the day. At night it still helps to open the room more. It's a balance between privacy (@ night you're on display) and openness, and often fresh air; not being isolated from the world outside.

It’s so frustrating that there is this illusion that we are all 49%/49% right now. Us versus them, good versus bad, and it’s all because of the BS that is the electoral system. It’s very likely 70% versus 30% and we’re just not seeing representative government. There’s just no common sense right now

The Founders, leaning on their knowledge of antiquity, thought they defeated the problem of self-interest with a constitutional republic & three branches of government to check & balance interests. But free association allows for political parties which has destroyed our system of government.

My three kids, born in South Korea and China, became U.S. citizens upon adoption under the Child Citizen Act of 2000. Because of increasingly obscure differences in adoption from different countries the two older kids, from South Korea, also went through a citizenship acknowledgement process./1

AI Code Gen lets you move quickly with new projects - but what about when it comes time to maintain a huge legacy project? How many "premium requests" and tokens is that going to eat up? For every operation?

I predict things will slow down, a LOT, on larger code bases.

That’s a tough question. Resisting masked armed thugs in any circumstance can get you beaten or killed by the armed thugs. If the masked armed thugs are agents of the U.S. government it will also get you prosecuted for “assault on a federal officer” or “resisting arrest.”

Serious question for lawyers - what are you supposed to do if people without warrants, badges, ID, and covering their faces attempt to detain you?
Here's a longer video of Brad Lander's detention just now inside 26 Federal Plaza as he tried to walk a man out of immigration court, by masked federal agents.

Bluesky is full of agitated people giving advice that will get you killed or might, MIGHT, result in your acquittal after the complete destruction of your life.

Real life ain’t a flame war, kids.
If they are NOT IDENTIED as police officers, you are free to use deadly force to resist. You do not have to stop until the identify themselves. Breanna Taylor case in point.
